WHAT IS ALLOY?
The alloy used in LORNE jewellery is a combination of copper & bronze.
This alloy has anti-tarnish properties and is gentle on the skin. It is incredibly resilient and likes to be worn.
9ct gold lookalike.
Less likely to tarnish with frequent wear.
-WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE WHEN TARNISHED
The colour deepens slightly.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BRASS JEWELLERY?
I use and recommend the finest grit sanding sponge (available from most hardware stores) and/or platinum paper (available from jewellery supply outlets). Brush gently over the brass surface followed by a quick rub with a clean, dry cloth.
This has a matt effect so don't use on highly polished jewellery.
All the earrings have sterling silver pins and butterflies to prevent irritation and help provide all day comfort.
Please be gentle with earring pins as too much accidental bending back and forth will create a weak spot.
HALF FACE CUFF
The half face earrings that sit on your lobe as a cuff are designed to be adjusted by you to suite your ear. When on, hold the earring at the top and bottom and give a slight bend
down against your lobe so that the earring hugs your ear and does not slide.

SOURCING LORNE JEWELLERY
I don't charge for items sourced unless lost or not returned.
All pieces must be documented and returned on dated agreed upon.
I don't always have stock on hand so please request in advance.
One of my best things is to make ridiculous pieces, so if that's your thing please shout.
I also have a semi constant supply of unique pieces I put aside for shoots. Quite liking the idea that they don't get recycled from shoot to shoot.
I find briefs exciting so if you have an idea and would like a range to go with it, depending on time restraints I may be able to help.
Strange requests are great.
