Shipping, Collection & Order Policy

Order Processing & Made-to-Order Jewellery

Many Lorne pieces are made to order, with the applicable lead time displayed on each product page.

Making pieces to order allows us to ensure your ring is made to your correct size from the outset and, where applicable, to adjust the setting to suit the exact dimensions and proportions of your chosen stone. Rather than altering a mass-produced piece to fit, your jewellery is made specifically for your order.

Once your piece is complete, you will receive confirmation that it is ready for collection or shipping.

Collection

Orders can be collected from the Lorne showroom and consultation studio in Gardens, Cape Town.

Once your order is ready, we’ll be in touch to arrange a collection time that suits you. This simply ensures that someone is available to assist you and that your collection does not overlap with another appointment or consultation.

Domestic Shipping

We offer secure courier delivery throughout South Africa at a standard rate of R110, with complimentary shipping on orders over R1,800.

Orders are dispatched Monday to Thursday. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive tracking information so that you can follow its delivery.

Please check the lead time displayed on the individual product page before ordering. If you require an order by a particular date or would like to enquire about expedited delivery, please contact for@lorne.co.za before placing your order so that we can confirm what is possible.

International Shipping

International shipping is available to a number of destinations, including the USA, United Kingdom, Namibia, Botswana, Australia and Europe. If your country is not available at checkout, please get in touch and we will see what can be arranged.

International shipping is charged at R800. Orders are sent using Fedex door to door courier service.

Shipping insurance is charged separately and is payable by the customer through the shipping provider. The applicable insurance cost will depend on the value of the shipment.

Any import duties, taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees or other destination charges are also the responsibility of the customer and are not included in the product or shipping price. These charges vary by destination and may be collected by the courier or relevant customs authority before or upon delivery.

International delivery times vary according to destination and customs processing.

Packaging

Every order is carefully packaged to protect your jewellery during transit while keeping unnecessary packaging and single-use plastics to a minimum.
